Jesus told us to learn from him and become gentle and humble in heart (Matthew 11:29). He wants us to emulate his character. Apostle Paul said, “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus”(Philippians 2:5) and “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). God uses those who mirror the character of Jesus. The Holy Spirit will help us when we strive to follow His character traits of humility, obedience, service, faithfulness, love, and integrity.

예수님께서는 우리에게 예수님을 닮아 배우라고 말씀하시며 온유하고 겸손한 마음이 되라고 하셨다 (마 11:29). 예수님께서는 우리가 예수님의 성품을 닮아가길 원하신다. 바울 사도도 우리에게 ‘예수 그리스도의 마음을 품으라 (빌 2:5),’ ‘내가 그리스도를 본받은 자 된 것 같이 너희는 나를 본받는 자가 되라 (고전 11:1)고 했다. 하나님께서는 예수님의 성품을 거울 삼는 자들을 사용하신다. 성령님께서는 우리가 예수님의 성품을 닮기 위해 분투할 때 우리를 도와주신다. 예수님의 성품은 겸손과 순종, 섬김, 신실함, 사랑, 온전함 등이다.
